Fragile Equality

004

It was just pointed out to me that I left the ‘C’ out of choice! How embarrassing…but that’s life. Not much room to correct it.

For Lily

Like the previous entry for Serenity this is what I created for my oldest daughter Lily. It was based on a tattoo I saw in a magazine. The original tattoo was black work the addition of color was added for this piece. I used chalk pastels for this and heavy weight artist paper.

Words

Bits of left over wood were not wasted when I created this set of boards for my daughters room.

Dresser for my daughters

This dresser will blend with my daughters room theme. The main color purple is the color of their walls and the bottom border is also around the bottom of their room.

Not so Buddy Christ

jebus

Water color paper, prismacolor pencil. 9″x16″. Buddy Christ from the movie Dogma and a random quote I thought was funny.

This is a gift for our friend, Jason, who helped us move to our new Home.

Pain is beauty

Pierced corset

Graphite and watercolor on watercolor paper. Black ink used for the hair. This was inspired from a photo posted on Modblog. Rings are pierced into the subjects back and were highlighted with silver prismacolor pencil. Final product sprayed with a clear fixative, this shows up as a glare on the middle red flower.

Guardian Angel

This image is my inspiration. It is a piece of wall art from Design Toscano. I loved it and wanted it for MY walls but instead it was used as a reference for creating my own custom piece.

This is white conte pencil on black cardboard 24″x36″. It took around a week to complete putting in around 3 hours a day.

I gifted this to my husband and it presently hangs above our bed.

Ink wash

InspirationFor Serenity

This was created using a Chinese writing set with ink sticks and a brush. The ink was layered for deeper shadows. Paper is tracing paper which caused some puckering as the ink dried. Inspiration came from a photo posted on Modblog.

I was pregnant with my second daughter when this was made and it is dedicated to her.
